Barre STL opened its second studio on July 18, 2026, at 110 E. Jefferson in downtown Kirkwood. The room sits in the old Paperdolls Boutique space. Tori and Jim Foster started the company in 2019. Their first studio is still at 3342 Watson in South City. They told St. Louis Magazine the Kirkwood room nearly doubles class size and sits on the downtown grid next to shops, dinner, and the station.
Kirkwood incorporated in 1865 around the Pacific Railroad. The 1893 station is still in use. Amtrak stops there. Downtown is a grid of about sixteen walkable blocks. Kirkwood Road and Jefferson still function as a Main Street. Kirkwood R-7 is the district for a lot of the houses that walk here. Check the address on the district lookup.
