Climb So iLL opened in 2012. Brothers David and Daniel Chancellor built the flagship gym in the old City Hospital power plant at 1419 Carroll, south of downtown. Look for the smokestack. The power plant went up in 1937 for the hospital. The hospital closed in 1985. The gym is what occupies the stack now.
Steel Shop and Gravity Lab share a building in St. Charles Frenchtown. Gravity Lab is the room built for newer and younger climbers.
The City gym sits near Lafayette Square and Soulard. Both can reach that stack on a short drive. Frenchtown sits off Historic Main Street and Veterans Memorial. If you climb after work, tour houses at that hour.
